Every year the River Front Times rounds up some of the best artists in the city of St. Louis to present ShowcaseSTL. The full day of music and fun is held down on in The Grove at various venues.
We headed 3 hours away to Three Sisters Park in Illinois to attend Summer Camp Music Festival, a favorite for many STL locals. The three day festival provided food, music, and art for all to enjoy on a lovely Memorial Day Weekend.
In preperation for their show this Saturday at The Heavy Anchor we met up with Belleville’s The Fade and listened in on a bit of their rehearsal.
New Music Circle closed their 58th season with a night of Experimental music from both local and national acts. Including Robert Beatty, Matchess, Nadir Smith, and Hylidae. The event was held on Saturday May 13th at the William A Kerr Foundation.
Local pop band The Vanilla Beans played a mid-day set for the 30th Annual Art Fair at Laumeier Sculpture Park.
The Pretty Reckless played a sold out show at Delmar Hall on May 11th with an opening set by Them Evils.
UV Hippo came to Old Rock House last Saturday with opening jams from EGi and local support by Surco.
Little Dragon’s Season High tour featured support by Goldlink and ABJO. The tour stopped through The Pageant this last Sunday night.
Tomas Fujiwara & The Hook Up were the guest artists for the April 2017 New Music Circle presentation.
The Octopus Project played The Atomic Cowboy on April 19th with local support by So Many Dynamos and Made-Up.
STS9’s Get Loud tour stopped through St. Louis on Thursday April 13th with an opening performance by Jaw Gems.
